Evidence.

A stack of documents and photos that had no business being outside of a mob enforcers safe,  tapes from hidden cameras and a flash drive full of encrypted files. Simply put, he could crack the case wide open with the evidence.

The problem was explaining to the chief how he got his hands in it in the first place.

He couldn't just say, "Well chief, an emo-looking female Santa dropped in out of nowhere, gave me a mini heart-attack and left this as an early Christmas present." now could he? That would at best get him suspended with strict orders to take a vacation someplace quiet or at worst, a nice straitjacket in a padded cell.

Lee deliberated a bit and picked up the phone to call one of his informants.
